Therapy alone

A good divorce

“If you cannot mould yourself as you wish, how can you expect other people to be entirely to your liking?”
Thomas á Kempis (1380 - 1471)

“Be not another's if thou canst be thyself”
Paracelsus (1493 - 1541)

Couples therapy together with your partner

You both meet together with a therapist one or more times a month
and work on concrete issues and discords in your relationship.
Focus is on your behavior towards each other and we concentrate
on issues such as: What do I/we do? How do I/we feel?
What do I/we want? (or as one client once put it: "What are we
doing? How do we actually feel about what we're doing? What would we rather be doing instead?)

We work on issues of responsibility, communication and on making
good contact. Various exercises and activities may be suggested,
to focus more clearly on specific problems.

Heightened awareness and focused attention initiate processes
that lead to change and growth – processes necessary for a satisfying relationship.
